Standard treatment modalities for drug and alcohol addiction ranges from once a week office visits to intensive outpatient therapy to day treatment to residential. Lionrock Recovery is breaking new ground by providing the equivalent of intensive outpatient treatment via online therapy. The approach conforms to industry best practice standards and the company has earned Joint Commission accreditation for a service that has the advantage of enhanced privacy and convenience.
In this podcast interview, Lionrock CEO Peter Loeb and I discuss how Lionrock works and how it fits into the continuum of addiction treatment.

Historically, women have not done as well as men in substance abuse treatment. The entry into treatment, retention and completion of most programs are lower for women than men. The difference is mainly because women face unique barriers when seeking treatment such as the fear of social isolation, mainly the fear of being stigmatized. Lionrock Recovery innovative approach to drug and alcohol treatment offers the best strategy to overcoming these barriers, this explains why 80-90% of the program’s participants are women! I am hopeful that in the near future third-party payers would see the effectiveness of this innovative approach to drug and alcohol treatment and provide insurance coverage to their clients.
